Our goal is to streamline the vehicle rental process, and ensure all our clients leaves with an appreciation of the value Nexxa provides.

What is the minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle?

We require all renters be at least 25 years of age.

What are the insurance requirement to rent a vehicle?

We have three types of vehicles in our fleet – cars, autocycles, and motorcycles. Each require two types of insurance:

  1. To rent a car clients need to provide proof of full comprehensive insurance that will cover the value of their chosen rental car. Once provided Nexxa will take the steps to verify.
  2. To rent an auto cycle or motorcycle, clients need to provide proof of full comprehensive coverage, in addition client’s must purchase additional coverage through MBA insurance for the duration of the rental. Coverage cost vary from $20 to $26 per day.

What type of license do I need to have to rent?

All drivers must provide a valid state issued driver’s license. Since Nexxa offers a variety of vehicle types, there are certain endorsement that each license must have to drive. Our autocycles only require a standard endorsement for the State of North Carolina. You must have a motorcycle endorsement to drive any of our motorcycle vehicles.

What type of rentals do you offer?

We offer daily, weekly, and in some instance monthly. We do not offer hourly nor half day rentals.

Do you require a deposit to rent a vehicle?

Yes, minimum damage and security deposits vary per vehicle. Please review each vehicle you are interested in for deposit amount. Deposits are refunded after the vehicle is returned, less any deduction for repair and damages.

Is there a mileage limit?

Depending on the vehicle. Renters will normally have a mileage allowance of 100 miles per day included with the rental (see rental agreement for specific rental terms) and any miles over the agreed 100 miles, however will be charged a cost per mile. For out of town rentals, clients can pay an additional fee for unlimited mileage.

What type of fuel does the vehicle require?

All gasoline vehicles require premium gasoline. If an alternate fuel is discovered to have been used, renter is subject to penalties.

What time can a vehicle be picked up and when must a vehicle be returned?

Office hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. vehicles should be picked up and returned with the normal business hours. If a return is required outside these time frames, please coordinate with Nexxa on this, during your booking process.

Can another individual drive during the rental period?

The rental vehicle may not be driven by anyone other than the authorized driver. An additional maybe added for an additional fee, as long as the additional driver meets all the requirements of Nexxa.

What is the difference between a rental and an experience?

A rental is our standard service, it is fully automated, or you can call or email for assistance. It involves a daily, weekly, or monthly reservation of any of our vehicles.

Our experiences are custom packages designed to allow our clients to truly experience the vehicles. You must contact our concierge team, who will work with you to schedule the details of your standard packages, or will work with you to develop a truly customized experience.

Do you offer pick up and drop off?

Yes, we do, at an additional cost. But the request must be made at the time of booking.

What happens if I get in an accident?

First call 911. Then call us at 704.763.8349 and we will have someone meet you and assess the situation and be of assistance to you.

What is the condition of the vehicles?

We pride ourselves in offering our clients only the best. Our fleet is brand new, and vehicles are either 2017 or 2018. We regularly clean them and maintain an impeccable service record with our certified dealers. We also expect that the cars are returned in the same or similar condition, with of course some level of exterior and interior cleaning needed. We do not allow smoking in the vehicles, nor do we advocate for drinking and driving. If the vehicle is returned and excessive cleaning is required or the vehicles smells like smoke, you will be charged a cleaning fee of $200.
